San Francisco Love: Plow Restaurant

BEST BREAKFAST IN SAN FRANCISCO?  PLOW.

Have a look at this fabulous menu or just walk in, take a seat and order their namesake like I do. Everything about it is perfect. I recently squeezed into a seat at the bar next to a friendly Spanish guy and we spent half of the meal laughing at our gluttony and talking about how neither of us likes potatoes but we could eat Plow’s potatoes all day. Seriously, delicious.

two eggs,

choice of house made pork sausage, Nueske’s bacon, or chicken apple sausage,

two lemon ricotta pancakes

+ crispy potatoes.

Plow is a bit out of the way, tucked up on Potrero Hill, near the Mission District but a bit too far to walk. It is best reached by cab or car, with street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Tip: Have one person in your group go early and get in line for weekend brunch when it’s packed, or do what I do: duck in on a quieter, though usually still bustling, weekday morning.
